Alice W. Klos âbeloved mother and grandmotherâ
MILLPORT, PA---Alice W. âWilmaâ Klos, 93, of Millport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Sena Kean Manor, Smethport, Pa.
Born on July 28, 1923 in Rochester, NY, a daughter of Joseph and Lena Wesche Paventa. On January 18, 1946 in Millport, she married the love of her life, as she fondly called him, Charles âChuckâ Klos, who predeceased her.
Wilma was a former member of the Chrystal United Methodist Church. She was an accomplished painter, loved to bake, sew, quilt, and crochet.
Surviving are five children, Richard D. (Terri) Barcus of Lockport, NY, Cheryl D.
âCherryâ Thompson of Cheektowaga, NY, Carol M. (Robert) Harris of Hilton, NY, Donna M. (Gary) Persons of Cheektowaga, NY, and Jerrie Lynn Drake of Wilmington, NC; eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Wilma was predeceased by three sisters, Minnie, Bonnie, and Helen.
Friends may call at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, PA, on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Joann Piatko, vicar of St. Josephâs Episcopal Church, Port Allegany, officiating.
Wilmaâs family would like to thank Sena Kean Manor for the excellent care and love she received as a resident there for the last 3½ years.
