Andrew L. âButchâ Kulp, Sr. âbeloved husband, father, grandfather and uncleâ
ROULETTE, PA---Andrew L. âButchâ Kulp, Sr., 70, of Roulette, passed away with his loving family by his side Friday, April 17, 2015 at Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport after a long illness.
Born January 26, 1945 in Pottstown, he was a son of Andrew B. and Lydia A. Roediger Kulp. On November 28, 1964 in Telford, he married Betty J. Ruth, who survives.
Andy attended Souderton High School in Souderton and was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford College Police Training Program. He served as the chief of Police in Roulette for nine years. He was also the owner/operator of Andyâs Guns and Stuff Sporting Goods Store in Roulette. Andy retired from Potter County Human Services as head of the Maintenance Department.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to his camp at Lamoka Lake.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Andrew L. âAndyâ Kulp, Jr. of Roulette; a daughter, Tanya D. (George Steckel) Drabert of Bethlehem, PA; two grandsons, Ronald Drabert and Nick Steckel; three brothers, Eric (Kristine) Landes and Chris (Jody) Landes, both of Roulette, and Mark (Lorrie) Landes of Yuba City, California; a sister, Joyce (Mark) Bridgewater of Eloy, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.
Andy was predeceased by his parents.
In keeping with Andyâs wishes, there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Andyâs name may be made to a charity of the donorâs choice.
Andyâs family has entrusted his care to the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
