Anna M. Glover âbeloved wife, mother and grandmotherâ
COSTELLO, PA----Anna M. Glover, 63, a lifelong resident of Austin and Costello, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 in the Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY, after suffering a heart attack on Saturday, August 29, 2015.
Born August 18, 1952 in St. Marys, she was a daughter of Gerald and Lila Hart Clancy. She was married to Larry Leightley, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1975. On October 16, 1982, she married Albert E. âAlbâ Glover, who survives.
Anna attended Austin High School. She was the Portage Township secretary.
Annaâs greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving besides her husband are three children, Curt O. (Jennifer) Leightley of Austin, Jamie L. (John) Gentzel of Costello, and Shawn J. (Amber) Glover of Costello; nine grandchildren, Nick, Noah, and Elyssa Leightley, Kevin and Breanna Gentzel, and Aiden, Aric, Jacob, and Jaxon Glover; three brothers, Richard (Judy) Clancy of Truman, Bill Clancy of Killbuck, NY, and Bob (Jennie) Clancy of Lakeland, Florida; two sisters, Mary Jane (Denny) Baker of Austin and Barb Clancy of Bowling Green, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and first husband, Anna was predeceased by two sons, Gregory Leightley and Larry Leightley, Jr.; a grandson, Ryan Gentzel; a brother Eddie Clancy; and a sister, Patricia Hamilton.
In keeping with Annaâs wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. A private graveside burial service will be held in Forest Hill Cemetery, Austin with the Rev. Steven D. Small, Jr., pastor of the Southern Potter United Methodist Charge, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donorâs choice.
Annaâs family has entrusted her care to the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
