He greatly enjoyed visits to Potter County over the years, and later decided to settle down in Coudersport, PA. Visits with his grandchildren were a consistent joy to him, and consisted of stories of his life, rifle or archery lessons, and four wheeler rides on the back trails.

A private celebration service will be held in Rochester NY at a later date. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Skilled Nursing Facility Patient Activity Fund at UPMC Cole, 1001 East Second Street, Coudersport, PA 16915.
