Barbara J. Gustin “beloved wife, mother, and grandmother”

ROULETTE, Pa.---Barbara J. “Barb” Gustin, 81, a longtime resident of Roulette, passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, June 21, 2021, at the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital in Williamsport, after a short illness.
Born on Friday, January 26, 1940, in Olean, N.Y., she was a daughter of Herbert Scutt and Ada Miles Scutt Hillman. On April 23, 1960, in Hinsdale, N.Y., she married Richard C. “Dick” Gustin, who survives.
Barb was a graduate of Hinsdale High School. After raising her family, Barb worked for Fay Bennett at 6B’S Craft Barn in Roulette. She was also an Avon representative for more than 20 years in the Roulette area.
Barb was a member of the Riverside United Methodist Church in Roulette. She was a volunteer at the Potter County Historical Society in Coudersport. She had a green thumb, growing many house plants and tending to her vegetable garden, where anyone was welcome to pick what they needed.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years; three children, Janet D. (Clifford) Bennett of Frewsburg, N.Y., and James D. (Audrey) Gustin and Brian M. (Jean Reynolds) Gustin, both of Roulette; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Hillman of Cuba, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Barb was predeceased by a brother, Roy Hillman.
Friends are invited to call from 5:30pm to 6:30pm on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at the Riverside United Methodist Church, 39 River Street, Roulette, where a celebration of life will follow at 6:30pm. In the absence of her pastor, Matt Howe, the Rev. Jim Cannistraci, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Eldred, will officiate.
Burial will be in Sartwell Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Riverside United Methodist Church, PO Box 65, Roulette, PA 16746; to the Potter County Historical Society, PO Box 605, Coudersport, PA 16915; or to the Roulette Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 172, Roulette, PA 16746.
Barb’s family has entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
