Betty Balla âBeloved wife, mother and grandmotherâ
COUDERSPORT, PA---Betty Balla, 80, of Coudersport, PA, passed away with her loving husband, John, at her side on Monday, November 10, 2014 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, after a short illness.
Born January 16, 1934 in Hokendauqua, PA, she was a daughter of William and Arlene Herb Beidleman. On June 14, 1952 in Ormrod, PA, she married John Balla, who survives.
Betty was a seamstress for many years. She enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting. She volunteered at the North Whitehall Ambulance Corp. Her greatest love was husband, children, and grandchildren.
She was formerly from Ormrod and had resided in Coudersport for the past 23 years.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, James (Cheryl) Balla of Allentown; a daughter, Carol (Wayne) Dodge of Northglenn, Colorado; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 10 siblings, Etheleen, Gordon, Judith, William, Sharon, Randall, Terry, David, Kim and Jeffrey; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by three siblings, Robert, Sandra, and Barry.
There will be no public visitation or funeral services.
