Bonnie L. Meyers “beloved wife”

WESTFIELD, Pa.---Bonnie L. Meyers, 81, of Westfield, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021, in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, after a short illness.

Born on Sunday, November 12, 1939, in Palmerton, she was a daughter of William and Mayme Brezak Smida. On November 27, 1974, in Perkasie, she married Theodore A. “Ted” Meyers, who survives.

Bonnie was a graduate of Palmerton High School, Class of 1957. For nearly 30 years, Bonnie was employed in the banking industry.

She enjoyed crafts, gardening and her pets.

Left to cherish her memory are husband of 46 years; a niece; and two nephews.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by her son, Michael Kevin Green; and a brother, William Smida, Jr.

At Bonnie’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.

Bonnie’s husband, Ted, is deeply appreciative of their neighbors, the Harrison Township Volunteer Fire Company and the Tri-Town Volunteer Ambulance Company, who were so kind and helpful to them.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bonnie’s name may be made to the Harrison Township Volunteer Fire Company, 112 East Tannery Street, Harrison Valley, PA 16727 or to the Tri-Town Volunteer Ambulance Company, 810 SR 49, Ulysses, PA 16948.

Ted entrusted Bonnie’s care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
