Charlene R. âCharâ Meacham âbeloved mother, grandmother, and sisterâ
COUDERSPORT, PA---Charlene R. âCharâ Meacham, 65, of Coudersport, a former longtime resident of Roulette, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, after a short illness.
Born March 26, 1949 in Coudersport, she was a daughter of Major W. Grandin and Beverly L. Palmeter Grandin Neidlinger. Her stepfather, Floyd Neidlinger, also helped raise Char.
Char was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. She was employed for 19 years at the former Pure Carbon in Coudersport retiring due to ill health.
She enjoyed reading and ceramics. In her younger years, Char enjoyed geocaching with her friends and her daughter, Joy. Her greatest love was her family.
Surviving are a daughter, Joy L. Bolling of Coudersport; two grandsons, Deven L. Bolling and Dawsen L. Ramsey, both at home; a brother, William âBillâ (Irma) Grandin of Roulette; two sisters, Sandra Heck of Tioga and Reba Pierce of Allegany, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and stepfather, Char was predeceased by a sister, Naomi Joy Pekarski.
In keeping with Charâs wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Coudersport Public Library, 502 Park Avenue, Coudersport, PA 16915.
