Constance J. “Connie” Welsh     “beloved wife, mother and grandmother”

COUDERSPORT, PA---Constance J. “Connie” Welsh, 71, a longtime resident of Coudersport, passed away at home with her loving family at her side on Sunday, July 28, 2013 after a short illness.
     Born September 21, 1941 in Denver, Colorado, she was a daughter of Harvey C. Zimmett and June Pearl Keefer Prindle Chastain.  On May 15, 1990 in Coudersport, she married John W. Welsh, who survives.
     Connie was a graduate of Coudersport High School.  She was employed as a dietary aide for over 25 years at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.
     She loved to read, play on her computer, go to the casino in Salamanca, and playing scratch-off tickets.
     Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, June P. (Ron) Wiley of Port Allegany; a son, Henry C. Watson of Sweden Valley; two stepsons, Willy W. (Valerie) Welsh of Omar and Bryan M. (Theresa) Welsh of Coudersport; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley (Denise) Prindle of Rochester, NY and Dale Prindle of Florida; a sister, Georgia (Art) Lemming of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to her mother, Connie was predeceased by a daughter, Jane Watson; and two brothers, Larry Prindle and Randy Prindle.
     At Connie’s request, there will be no public visitation.  A gathering of friends and family to remember Connie will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Watson’s Garage, 101 Robin Lane, Coudersport, PA, with Mr. Steve Watson, officiating.  Burial will be in Eulalia Cemetery, Coudersport.
