David N. Hadden “beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend”
CERES, N.Y.-----David N. “Dave” Hadden, 71, of Ceres, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, in the Wellsville Manor Care Center, Wellsville, after a long illness.
Born on Friday, September 15, 1950, in Bradford, Pa., he was a son of Robert and Rosellen Skiver Hadden. On April 25, 1970 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he married Diana R. Flechner, who survives.
Dave graduated from Richburg High School in 1967. He served in the US Navy from 1969 to 1970.
After service to his country, Dave was employed first by the former Olean Tile Plant in Olean, then as a bus driver for the Portville Central School District, later as a truck driver for Insight Health Services in Buffalo, and lastly retiring from Vantage Health Services in Meadville, Pa.
Dave was a member of Street Classics Car Club. He loved working on his old cars and spending time with his friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife; two sons, David (Christina) Hadden of Shinglehouse, Pa. and Brian (Hilary) Hadden of Ceres; four grandchildren, Dakota Hadden of Roulette, Pa., and Morgan, Lexi and Lilly, all of Shinglehouse; a brother, Tom Hadden of White Hills, Arizona; a sister, Ariana “Candy” Hadden of Bolivar; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dave was predeceased by a brother, Robert V. Hadden.
In keeping with Dave’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. A celebration of his life will be held on a date and place to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bolivar Fire Department, 460 Main Street, Bolivar, NY 14715.
Dave’s family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, Pa.
