Della Mae Ford “beloved mother, grandmother, and sister”

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa.---Della Mae Ford, 89, of Bell Run Road, Shinglehouse, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home, Bradford.

Born on Monday, January 30, 1933 in Port Allegany, she was a daughter of Nora Roach. On October 28, 1967 in Coudersport, she married Jack U. Ford, who passed away on February 21, 2019.

Della was an active member of Grace Bible Independent Baptist Church in Shinglehouse. She was also a member of the Bell Run Lunch Bunch. Her greatest loves were her Lord and her family.

Surviving are eight children; twenty-one grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Pamela Curcio of Bradford; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother and husband, Della was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.

Family and friends may call from noon to 1pm on Friday, July 1, 2022, at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse.

Private funeral services will be held for the family only. Burial will be next to her husband in Bell Run Cemetery, Shinglehouse.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shinglehouse Volunteer Ambulance Association, PO Box 98, Shinglehouse, PA 16748.

Della’s family has entrusted her care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
