Edith U. Clark “beloved mother and grandmother”
COUDERSPORT---Edith U. Clark, 87, a longtime resident of Coudersport, passed away at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Bill Crown of Coudersport, on Sunday, June 24, 2018, following a lengthy illness.
Born on May 3, 1931 in Mountain City, Tennessee, she was the eldest of six children born to Lacy Ray and Edna South Stewart.
Edith retired from the Housekeeping department at Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport and had also cleaned homes for area families. She raised a large garden to provide for her family.
Edith was a member of the Coudersport Free Methodist Church. Her family and her Lord and Savior were her life. She enjoyed her flower gardens and loved her pets.
Surviving are three children, Carolyn S. Moore of Coudersport, Randy R. (Rosa) Hauss of Emporium, and Connie A. (Bill) Crown of Coudersport; six grandchildren, Brad (Mimi) Moore, Heidi Moore, Caleb (Macy) Hauss, Katie Hauss, Danny Hauss, and Melony (Allan) Derksen; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler Derksen; a brother, Ralph (Lynne) Stewart of Rochester, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Edith was predeceased by two brothers, Lacy and Robert; and two sisters, Helen and Vertie.
Family and friends are invited to attend graveside funeral services at 2pm on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, in the Sweden Hill Cemetery, Coudersport. Pastor Pete Tremblay of the Coudersport Free Methodist Church, will officiate.

Edith’s family has entrusted her care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
