Eva M. Bell âbeloved mother and sisterâ
SHINGLEHOUSE, PA---Eva Mae Bell, 86, of Shinglehouse, passed away with her loving daughter by her side on Monday, May 30, 2016, in the Bradford Manor, Bradford, after a long illness.
Born on December 7, 1929 in Shinglehouse, she was a daughter of Clarence L. and Emma Jane Babcock Babcock. She married William âEdâ Bell, who died on April 12, 1995.
Mrs. Bell attended Shinglehouse High School and later received her G.E.D. She was employed for 20 years at AVX Corporation in Olean where she was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
She was a den mother for the Brownies from 1966 to 1967. She was meticulous in the care of her home and her lawn.
Surviving are a daughter, Eileen A. Bell of Shinglehouse; a sister, Eloise M. (Paul) Plants of Ceres; three brothers, Jamie A. (Nancy) Babcock of Shinglehouse, Ed (Diane) Babcock of Port Allegany, and Don (Linda) Babcock of Waynesburg, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bell was predeceased by two sons, Ronnie E. Bell and Randy L. Bell.
Mrs. Bell has graciously donated her body to science. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2016 in the Ceres United Methodist Church, Ceres, with the Rev. Becky L. Edwards, pastor, officiating.
Mrs. Bellâs family has entrusted her care to the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, to carry out her wishes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donorâs choice.
