Gerald H. “Huck” Tauscher “beloved brother, father, and grandfather”
ROULETTE, Pa.---Gerald H. “Huck” Tauscher, 80, a lifelong resident of Roulette, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020, in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, after a short illness.
Born on Saturday, January 20, 1940, in Roulette, he was a son of Henry R. and Doris I. Barr Tauscher. On December 16, 1977 in Coudersport, he married Marcia K. Fortner, who passed away on February 17, 2015.
Huck was a graduate of Roulette High School. He was employed for nearly 40 years by North Penn Gas Company, first as a meter reader and lastly in the repair service of the meters. He, along with his wife, Marcia, owned and operated the Friendly Inn in Roulette for 12 years.
Huck enjoyed remote control planes, HO scale trains, computers, and anything electronic. He loved his gardening, starting his vegetable plants early in the year on his porch. His greatest love was his family.
Left to cherish his memory are a sister, Judy M. Tucker of Roulette; four children, Tim A. (Nita) Spencer of Roulette, Kathy M. (Rick) Todero of Greensburgh, Jenny L. (Jeff) Kurth of LaPorte, Indiana, and Lori; several grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Huck was predeceased by his parents and his wife.
In keeping with Huck’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Roulette Ambulance Association, PO Box 172, Roulette, PA 16746.
Huck’s family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
