Goldie M. Meacham        

OLEAN---Goldie M. Meacham, 89, of Olean, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Olean, after a long illness.

Born on February 14, 1928 in Shinglehouse, Pa., she was a daughter of Fred and Hazel Wheeler Osborne.  On November 30, 1946 in Coudersport, Pa., she married Paul E. Meacham, who passed away on April 29, 2008.

Goldie was employed at the former American Olean Tile Company for 22 years. She enjoyed animals and gardening.

Surviving are a son, Gary P. (Shirley) Meacham, Sr. of Clara, Pa.; a granddaughter, Lisa (Andrew) Sottolano; two grandsons, Gary P. (Amy) Meacham, Jr. and Eric (Jennifer) Meacham; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Yentzer of Roulette and Alfreda Palmatier of Coudersport; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Goldie was predeceased by five sisters, Bea Stephens, Alyene Shaw, Ruth Gleason, Gloria Chapell and Beverly Smith; and a brother, Adelbert “Spud” Osborne.

At Goldie’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.  Private burial services will be held on, Tuesday, December 12, 2017, in Woodland Cemetery, Coudersport.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials in Goldie’s name may be made to the Friends of the Pines, 2245 W. State Street, Olean, NY 14760.

Goldie’s family has entrusted her care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, Pa.
