Heath D. Setzer “beloved father, son, brother, uncle and husband”
AUSTIN, Pa.---Heath D. Setzer, 43, a lifelong resident of Austin, passed away in his home on Monday, July 24, 2023.
Born on Friday, January 25, 1980 in Coudersport, he was a son of Ronald Sr. and Victoria M. Lamer Setzer. On October 31, 2022 in Galeton, he married Amanda L. Pritt, who survives.
Heath attended Austin Area School. He was employed as a truck driver for Postlewait Trucking, Inc. in Turtlepoint.
Heath was a member of the Austin Vets Club and a member of Scaffold Lick Trophy Whitetail Hunting Club in Keating Summit. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping. His greatest love was being with his family.
Surviving are his wife; his father, Ron Sr. of Austin; five children, Sage Setzer of Port Allegany, and Shae Setzer, Sari Setzer, Skylar Setzer, and Scot Setzer, all of Austin; two stepchildren, Joseph Pritt and Maggie Earle, both of Austin; a granddaughter, Anna Simms of Austin; a brother, Ronald (Jeana) Setzer, Jr. of Port Allegany; a sister, Rhoda (Terry) Hooftallen of Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
Heath was predeceased by his mother on January 2, 2023. He was also preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and by several aunts and uncles.
Family and friends are invited attend a memorial visitation from 11am to 12 noon on Saturday, July 29, 2023, in God’s Country Global Methodist Church, Turner Street, Austin, with Pastor Donald Caskey of the First Presbyterian Church, Coudersport, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christmas House, PO Box 716, Coudersport, PA 16915 or to Amanda Setzer, PO Box 91, Coudersport, PA 16915 to help the family with funeral expenses.
Heath’s family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
