Hugh D. Pearsall Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather
SHINGLEHOUSE, PA---Hugh D. Pearsall, 80, of Shinglehouse, went to
be with the Lord on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Wellsville Manor Care
Center, Wellsville, NY after battling with Alzheimers Disease.
Born January 15, 1932 in Olean, NY, he was the only child of Stanley
and Helen Jones Pearsall. On June 13, 1954 in Oswayo, he married Corrine
Y. Coe Harris, who died on March 8, 2006.
Mr. Pearsall was a graduate of Shinglehouse High School, class of
1950 and a graduate of Williamsport Tech (now Penn State College of
Technology). A highly regarded tool and die maker, he along with his
brother-in-law, Robert Harris, co-founded Keystone Tool & Die in Westons
Mills, NY. He completed his career at Industrial Patterns Inc. in Bolivar,
NY.
Mr. Pearsall was a member of Grace Bible Independent Baptist Church in
Shinglehouse. In his younger years, he loved to hunt and fish. His greatest
love was his family.
Surviving are two sons, the Rev. Clint E. (Stephanie) Pearsall of Oswayo
and Wade L. (Debra) Pearsall of Shinglehouse; a daughter, Sonja J. (Joel)
Andrews of Shinglehouse; eight grandchildren, Ryan Pearsall, Aaron
Pearsall, Allison Pearsall Ellis, Trevor Pearsall, Myles Pearsall, Randi
Pearsall, Casey Pearsall, and Megan Andrews; four great-grandchildren,
Delaney Pearsall, Sawyer Pearsall, Kinley Pearsall, and Wyatt Willetts; and
several nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.
Mr. Pearsall was predeceased by his parents and his wife.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m.
and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union
Street, Shinglehouse, PA. Funeral services will be held privately with the
Rev. Darell D. Harris, of Oswayo, Mr. Pearsalls brother-in-law, officiating.
Burial will be in Rathbone Cemetery, Coneville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oswayo Valley
Memorial Library, PO Box 188, Shinglehouse, PA 16748.
