Janet M. Garman “beloved mother”
COUDERSPORT, Pa.---Janet M. Garman, 88, of Coudersport, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Sunday, June 19, 2022.
Born on Thursday, April 12, 1934 in Denver, Pa., she was a daughter of Walter and Mabel Fry Longenecker. On November 23, 1957, she married her beloved husband of nearly 63 years, Willis Garman, Jr., who passed away on November 19, 2020.
Janet attended East Denver High School. She, along with her husband and son Bradley, owned and operated God’s Country Real Estate in Coudersport, until retiring in 2019. They had purchased the business in the early 1980’s.
Janet read her Bible every morning. She loved her dog, Jesse. Her greatest love was her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Gary L. Garman, Bryan L. Garman, and Bradley L. Garman, all of Coudersport; and several nieces and nephews.
Janet was predeceased by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be private. Janet will be laid to rest next her husband, Willis, in Fairview Cemetery in Denver, Pa.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials in Janet’s name may be made to the Coudersport Volunteer Ambulance Association, PO Box 651, Coudersport, PA 16915.
Janet’s sons entrusted her care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
