Jason R. Palmer “former Coudersport, PA resident and world famous pipeliner”
SILER CITY, NC----Jason R. Palmer, 39, of Siler City, NC, formerly of Coudersport, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 29, 2013 in Coshocton, Ohio, after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Born February 19, 1974 in Coudersport, he was a son of Pamela Snay Palmer. On April 13, 2013 in Pittsboro, NC, he married Randi Lee Scott, who survives.
He was a graduate of Coudersport High School. At the age of 17, Jason went to work on the pipeline, starting as a laborer and working up to an operator. At the time of his death, he was employed as a foreman for Sheehan Pipeline Construction Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Jason was a proud member of the Masons, a social member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge in Siler City. He loved anything with a motor. From the time he was a child, he loved 4-wheelers, snowmobiles, and Harleys. He also loved to restore antique tractors. His greatest love was his family, his daughter, Jasia; his best friend, Wyatt Wahlbrink; and his extended pipeline family.
Surviving besides his wife, Randi and his mother, Pamela (Steven Goss) Palmer of Shinglehouse, are three children, Jasia R. Palmer and her mother, Jeanne Edwards, of Siler City, NC, and twins, Jesse R. and Jordyn P. Olander, both of Michigan; his maternal grandfather, Milton Snay of Coudersport; three stepchildren, Braecen , Dristen, and Jezmine Scott; together with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Beverly Ingham and by his paternal grandfather, Richard Palmer.
Friends may call on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, PA where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013 with the Rev. David J. Minor, pastor of the Coudersport Gospel Tabernacle, officiating. Burial will be in Parker Hill Cemetery, Sunderlinville, PA.
