COUDERSPORT, Pa.--Jeannette L. Gross, 80, of Coudersport, a former longtime resident of Roulette,  passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 1, 2022, in the Olean General Hospital, Olean, N.Y.

She was born June 22, 1942, the daughter of William E. and Ione F. Pearsall Denhoff.  She was a graduate of Coudersport High School. On December 3, 1960, she married Charles E. Gross and they celebrated 62 wonderful years of marriage.

Jeannette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.  She recently celebrated her 80th birthday with a wonderful gathering of friends and family.  She lived a simple life but full of love for her family.  She enjoyed her flowers and flower gardens…..she always said “I want flowers now, when I’m alive”!  She also enjoyed motorcycling on their trike and side by side rides in the country.  Most of all she loved her family and she loved them fiercely.  She will be missed by them all.

Jeannette had spent most of her adult life as a homemaker on a small farm in Roulette.  Over the years she had several part-time jobs including cafeteria lady at the old L. L. Smith school in Roulette, T-C- Specialties in Coudersport and also worked on the potato harvester at Sarginger’s Potato Farm on Sweden Hill.

Jeannette was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Larry Denhoff and Lonnie Denhoff; a special nephew, Tod Denhoff; and a very special sister -in-law, Evelyn Jenigen.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Penny (Jim) Thomas of Coudersport, Cynthia (David) Wright of Willow Street, PA and Amy (Bill) Plumstead of Coudersport.  She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Rohrer, Jeremy (Kim) Grossman, Rebekah Wright, Daniel Wright, Jonathan Wright, Aaron Wright, Charity Wright, Tiffany Plumstead and Katelynn (Colton Swede) Plumstead; and 5 great -grandchildren.  She loved them all so much and was very proud of their life accomplishments.  In addition, she is also survived by her sister and BFF, Carolyn Pesock and several other brothers and sisters-in-law.  She loved them all.

Family and friends may call from 10am to 11am on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the Sweden Valley Faith United Methodist Church, Coudersport, where a memorial service will follow at 11am with Pastor Gregory A. Rapp, officiating.
