Joseph Glogouski “beloved husband, father, and grandfather”
SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa.---Joseph “Joe” Glogouski, 83, of Shinglehouse, passed away in his home with his loving family by his side on Sunday, February 28, 2021, after a short illness.
Born on Sunday, December 12, 1937, in Scranton, he was a son of Charles Sr. and Ann Badner Glogouski. On September 7, 1957, in Philadelphia, he married the love of his life, Betty Lou Longstaff, who passed away on February, 9, 2021.
Joe was a graduate of Mastbaum Vocational High School, Class of 1955. He was employed as a foreman at Dresser-Rand in Olean, N.Y., retiring in 1994.
Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. His greatest love was his family.
Surviving are four children, Deborah Kelley of Coudersport, Diane (David) Conklin of West Clarksville, N.Y., Sharon (Tom) Lundy and Brian (Barbara) Glogouski, both of Shinglehouse; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Pica of Bristol; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Joe was predeceased by a son, Gary Glogouski; a grandson, Joe Lundy; a brother, Charles Glogouski; and a son-in-law, Keith Kelley.
In keeping with Joe’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Philanthropy Institute, PO Box 931517, Cleveland, OH 44193-1655.
Joe entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
