Julie Donner “beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister”
COUDERSPORT, Pa.---Julie Donner, 79, of Coudersport, formerly of Lehighton and Bethlehem, passed away at home with her loving family by her side on Monday, June 4, 2018.
Born on September 5, 1938 in Ceiba, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of Modesto and Julia Casillas Mercado. She was married to Willard R. “Skip” Donner, Sr., who passed away on September 27, 1991.
Julie was of the Roman Catholic faith. She was a former member of the Lehighton American Legion Post 314 Ladies Auxiliary and the Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her loving family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl Ann “Sherry” (Bert) Ianson of Coudersport; two sons, Willard Donner, Jr. of West Virginia and Jeffrey (Kathleen) Donner of Weatherly; seven grandchildren, Willard III, Haley, Jeffrey, Christopher, Rea, Jessica, and Jeffrey, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, RileyMae and Luna; many sisters and brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Julie was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Friends may call from 9:30am to 11am on Friday, June 8, 2018, at the Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 South 4th Street, Lehighton, where funeral services will follow at 11am with Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Gnaden Huetten Cemetery, Lehighton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Julie’s name may be made to Cole Memorial Home Health and Hospice, 102-108 South Main Street, Coudersport, PA 16915.
Julie’s family has entrusted her local arrangements to the care of Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
