Kathryn L. Jackson “beloved mother and grandmother”

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa.---Kathryn L. Jackson, 80, of Shinglehouse, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022, in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, after a long illness.

Born on Sunday, September 28, 1941 in Chester, she was a daughter of Robert Leslie Everett, Sr. and Ida Kathryn McCulley Everett. On March 5, 1960 in Media, she married James L. Jackson, who passed away on October 14, 2011.

Kathryn attended Smedley Junior High School and graduated from Chester High School. She was employed at the former Desoto Motel in Olean, N.Y. for a brief period. She was a loving, devoted, and caring wife and mother.

Keeping her memory in their hearts are a daughter, Nancy J. Harris of Spring Hill, Florida; a son, Todd M. (Rachel) Jackson of Richmond Hill, Georgia; Sandy (Ryan) Welty of Shinglehouse, whom Kathryn considered a daughter; eight grandchildren, Makayla Harris, Doug Foster, Jr., Eric Hancock, Colby Meek-Weathermon, Erica Archibald, Aaron Jackson, Dylan Jackson, and Tanner Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Declan Archibald, Davina Archibald, and James Jackson; a brother, Michael M. Everett; two sisters, Alice M. Everett Temple and Cynthia A. Everett Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Kathryn was predeceased by a sister Jane M. Everett; and a brother, Robert L. Everett, Jr.

In keeping with Kathryn’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Burial will be in Rathbone Cemetery, Coneville.

In lieu flowers, memorials in Kathryn’s name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Kathryn entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
