SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa.---Kevin E. Langford, 62, of Shinglehouse, formerly of Delmont, PA and Glen Burnie, MD, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022, in his home after a lengthy and brave battle with cancer.

Born on Thursday, April 2, 1959, in St. Petersburg Florida, he was the son of Ernest R. and Anna Marie (Oder) Langford.

Kevin was raised in Panama City and where he attended Bay High School and was a member of the Church of Christ. He formerly worked in the construction field.

Kevin was a lifelong Florida Gators (Go Gators!) and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed watching all sports and was an avid bowler with a 200+ average before his illness. He bowled on various leagues in Shinglehouse, Delmont and with the Laurel Elks in Odenton, MD where he was a former member of the Elks Lodge #2283. He was known across the lanes for his boisterous and competitive personality.

Kevin loved NASCAR, horse racing, Country music, spending time with family & friends and will be greatly missed by those that loved him and valued his friendship and compassion as well as his sense of humor.

Kevin was predeceased by his father, Ernest R. Langford; two ladies very special to him – Stacy’s mom, Kathryn R. Kimmett, and grandmother, Pauline V. Kimmett; his dog, Buford and his cat, Goof.

Surviving are his two grandsons, Michael C. Tucker and Matthew D. Tucker, who he raised as his own sons and know and love him as “Dad” and his friend and co-parent of many years, Stacy R. Kimmett, all of Glen Burnie, MD; his mother, Anna Marie (Oder) Langford of Little Rock, AR, formerly of Panama City, FL; his daughter, Kacy (Tucker) Langford and granddaughter, Arianna Langford both of Panama City, FL; his sister, Anita Scott, brother-in-law, Michael, and nieces, McKenna, Marit, and Micah all of Little Rock, AR; the extended Langford and Kimmett families; friends, Linda and Kevin Wahl of New Alexandria, PA; friends from the Honeoye Haven Apartments; and many other treasured family and friends.

Kevin wanted to thank all the doctors and nurses at UPMC-Presbyterian and Magee-Womens Hospitals for the excellent treatment and care given to him over the years as well as the health care workers and EMT services in Shinglehouse/Olean.

In keeping with Kevin’s wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Homeless & Hunger Coalition of NW Florida (PO Box 549, Panama City, Florida 32402; Children’s Home Society of FL (Home Office at 5766 S. Semoran Blvd. Orlando, FL 32822); the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, Maryland (1815 Bay Ridge Ave., Annapolis, MD 21403); St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105); or a charity or cause of ones choosing.

Kevin’s family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
