Linda L. Ginter âbeloved wife, mother, grandmother and sisterâ
CERES, NY----Linda L. Ginter, 70, of Ceres, NY, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, after a long illness.
Born April 10, 1945 in Shinglehouse, she was a daughter of Cornelius âSlimâ and Irene Newton Loucks. On June 27, 1970 in the Ceres United Methodist Church, she married Don W. Ginter, Jr., who survives.
Linda was a graduate of Bolivar High School. She was employed by A.V.X. Corporation in Olean for several years and was later employed as a nurseâs aide at the former Hewitt Manor Nursing Home in Shinglehouse before her retirement.
Linda was a member of the Ceres United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling, having bowled in the Bowlean Langworthy Coffee Cup League in Olean. She enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, and watching TV, especially the âjudgeâ shows. Her greatest love was her family.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Corby A. Ginter of Friendship; a daughter, Jaime L. Ginter; five grandchildren, Brent Joshua, Audrey, Ashley, Alyssa, and Raquel; two sisters, Joyce M. Button of Dansville and Sara Jane Austin of Shinglehouse; her father-in-law, Don W. Ginter, Sr. of Lawton, OK; five brothers-in-law, David Parker of Ceres, Paul (Carolyn) Ginter of Madison, Wisconsin, Clifford Ginter of Lawton, OK, Roger Ginter of Midland, Texas, and Timothy Ginter of Norfolk, VA; two sisters-in-law, Janice Adams of Fort Worth, Texas and Judy Kay (Charles) Jones of Apache, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by a son, Brent W. Ginter; a sister, Sandy Parker; her mother-in-law, Jewell Hayes Ginter; and two brothers-in-law, Leslie A. Button, Jr. and Wayne P. Austin.
There will be no public visitation or funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bolivar Fire Department, 460 Main Street, Bolivar, NY 14715.
