Lucie R. Dickerson “beloved wife, mother, and grandmother”

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa.---Lucie R. Dickerson, 64, of Shinglehouse, passed away with her loving family by her side on Sunday, October 10, 2021, in UPMC Cole, Coudersport, after a long illness.
Born on Tuesday, January 8, 1957, in Bradford, she was a daughter of Winn and Ida Bennett Sidelinger. On March 24, 1973 in Eldred, she married Clarence A. “Butch” Dickerson, who survives.
Lucie attended school at the Otto-Eldred school district and graduated from Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse. Lucie was employed by various companies in the area, her last job was at the Seneca-Allegany Casino and Resort in Salamanca.
Lucie was a member of the former Shinglehouse Volunteer Fireman’s Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing Bingo. Her greatest love was her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years; her mother and stepfather, Ida and Clarence Cook of Shinglehouse; three children, Adam J. (Becca) Dickerson of Shinglehouse, Victor L. (Stacy) Dickerson of Mappsville, Virginia, and Stephanie L. Rossborough of Shinglehouse; ten grandchildren, Sierra, David, Tiffany, Jacob, Erynn, Victor Jr., Nathaniel, Daniel, Johanna, and Alexis; a brother, John Sidelinger of Shinglehouse; a sister, Lottie (Tom) Whitesell of Shinglehouse; and several nieces and nephews.
Lucie was predeceased by her father; and a sister, Joni Sidelinger.
In keeping with Lucie’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family, c/o Clarence Dickerson, PO Box 113, Shinglehouse, PA 16748, to assist with expenses.
Lucie’s family has entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
