WELLSVILLE, NY----Marcia G. Good, 68, of Wellsville, formerly of Shinglehouse, PA, passed away with her loving family by her side on Friday (December 11, 2015) in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, after a brief illness.
Born on April 25, 1947 in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of Howard âPatâ Prince and Juanita Fuller Prince Bump.

She had worked in various jobs in the area but her last position was at Alfred University as a receptionist and student guide organizer in the Admissions Office. There, while enjoying her job, she became close friends with many people who remain âgood and loyalâ friends today.
Her greatest vocation was being wife, mom, and grandma and she excelled in all fields. Marcia enjoyed taking pictures of nature and birds and generally anything that caught her eye. Several photos that she had taken have been published in national magazines and were always enjoyed by her friends. She wouldnât admit it, but she was very proud of her hobby.
In addition to her husband, Marcia is survived by âher greatest accomplishmentsâ, four children, John S. (Bridget) Mertsock of Castile, NY, Alan L. (Bonny) Mertsock of Shinglehouse, Sharlene M. (Woody) Mertsock Klein of Ellicottville, NY, and Michael J. (Valerie) Mertsock of Rush, NY; and a stepdaughter, Debra S. (Bill Riedmiller) Hadden of Shinglehouse. She is also survived by her mother, Juanita Bump of Wellsville; a brother, Roger (Dee) Prince of Shinglehouse; a half-brother, Patrick (Shelly) Prince and a half-sister, Diane (Scott) West, both of Shinglehouse; as well as 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren who were the loves of her life; several nieces and nephews; her former husband, John Mertsock of Wellsville; and many special friends.
She was predeceased by her father; a sister, Bonnie Prince Shall; and two brothers, Ronnie Prince and Chad Prince.
At Marciaâs request, there will be no public visitation. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Marciaâs life from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at LâItalia Restaurant, 105 North Main Street, Wellsville, NY.
