Michael W. “Bucky” Blanchard    â€œbeloved husband, father, grandfather, brother & uncle”

SHINGLEHOUSE, PA----Michael W. “Bucky” Blanchard, 58, of Shinglehouse, passed away with his loving family at his side, Thursday, April 11, 2013 in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, after a long battle with lung cancer.
     Born September 1, 1954 in Olean, NY, he was a son of Kenneth W. and Betty J. Gillmer Blanchard.  He married Diane S. Torok, who survives.
     Mike attended Oswayo Valley High School.  He was employed as a pipeliner for many years.
     An avid outdoorsman, Mike loved to hunt, fish, trap and dig ginseng.  He also enjoyed coin collecting.
     Surviving besides his wife are five children, Christopher A. Gilkey of McKeesport, Melissa J. (Eric Campbell) Blanchard of Shinglehouse, Jennifer S. Blanchard of Oswayo, Joshua W. Blanchard of Shinglehouse, and Megan D. (Jason) Tilley of Millport; four grandsons, Colton Michael Blanchard, Blake Matthew Grim, George Andrew Tilley, and Emmett Mitchell Campbell; a sister, Kay A. Stubbs of Shinglehouse; a nephew, Ryan Inches; and four nieces, Mandy Inches, Beth Inches, Kari Stubbs, and Katie Voye.  
     In addition to his parents, Mike was predeceased by a sister, Judy Inches.
     In keeping with Mike’s wishes, there will be no visitation.  A celebration of his life will be held at a date and place to be announced.
