Nancy A. Blauvelt âbeloved sister, aunt, and friendâ
MILLPORT, PA---Nancy A. Blauvelt, 71, of Millport, PA, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in Millcreek Community Hospital, Erie, after a long illness.
Born December 30, 1942 in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of J. Douglas and Martha J. Weimer Blauvelt.
Nancy attended Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse.
She attended the Chrystal United Methodist Church and was a member of the Chrystal Ladiesâ Missionary group. She enjoyed watching TV, completing jigsaw puzzles, and was a collector of stuffed animals and rings. Nancyâs greatest love was the Potter County Fair. In her own special way, Nancy touched many peopleâs lives, creating numerous lifetime friends.
Surviving are a sister, Marsha L. Prince of Millport; a brother, Paul D. (Barb) Blauvelt of Millport; an aunt and an uncle, Jackie and David Weimer of Burgettstown; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Doreen, Betty, and Sue.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents.
In lieu of a formal visitation, friends are invited to remember Nancy at a celebration of life at her home, 1151 Eleven Mile Road, Shinglehouse, following the graveside funeral service.
Friends are invited to attend graveside funeral services at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2014 in the Sharon Center Cemetery, Route 44, Shinglehouse. The Rev. Fred E. Kemp, pastor of Potter County Baptist Church, Shinglehouse, will officiate.
