Patricia L. Austin  “former Shinglehouse, Pa. resident”

HINSDALE---Patricia L. Austin, 63, of Hinsdale, formerly of Shinglehouse, Pa., passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, after a courageous three year battle with cancer.

Born on March 17, 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was a daughter of Howard L. Sr. and Grace H. Simons Aumiller.  On October 10, 1987 in the First Baptist Church in Shinglehouse, she married Victor E. Austin, who survives.

Patricia was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School, Class of 1972, in Shinglehouse. She was employed for 40 years at the former A.V.X. Corporation in Olean, retiring due to ill health.

Patricia loved music and enjoyed playing poker.  She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Surviving besides her husband are three brothers, Dale E. Aumiller and Donald G. (Mindi) Aumiller, both of Shinglehouse, and Howard L. “Jack” Aumiller, Jr. of Campbellsville, KY; three sisters, Susan K. Aumiller of Bolivar, Melody L. “Sam” (Jeff) Dunkleman of Vine Grove, KY, and Stacy L. (Joseph Reagle) Johnston of Ceres; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by a nephew, Howard Lewis Aumiller III.

Family and friends are invited to call from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, Pa., where a celebration of Patricia’s life will follow at 3pm with Pastor Stan Scoville, spiritual care coordinator of Homecare and Hospice of Olean, officiating.
