Patricia L. Campbell “beloved mother and grandmother”
COUDERSPORT, Pa.---Patricia L. “Patty” “Gram Patty” Campbell, 90, of Coudersport, formerly of Austin, passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, after a brief illness.
Born on Saturday, November 15, 1930, in Anderson, Indiana, she was a daughter of Clifford Walton and Martha Kennard Walton Johnson. In 1948, she married Gene Campbell, who preceded her in death.
Patty was a graduate of Austin Area High School. She lived in Buffalo, N.Y. for 33 years during which time she was employed for 11 years in the Trust Department of Marine Midland Bank. Returning to Austin, Patty was employed by Charles Cole Hospital in Coudersport, having worked as a secretary in the Emergency Room for 11 years.
Patty’s greatest love was her family.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Marta J. (Rick) Gorenflo of West Seneca, N.Y. and Melanie A. (Cody) Housler of Austin; seven grandchildren, Robert (Leanne) Manning, Matthew Manning, Cody (Shannon) Housler, Cara (Troy) Bates, Victoria (Paul) Inglese, Joseph Gorenflo, and Richard Gorenflo; and five great-grandchildren, Kroy Patrick Bates, Kenna Rae Bates, Archer Robert-Geo Housler, Joshua Gorenflo, and Isabella Inglese,
In addition to her parents and husband, Patty was predeceased by her longtime companion. Victor Lagonia, with whom she resided for 20 years until the time of his death.
Family and friends are invited to call from 1pm to 2pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Turner Street, Austin, where a memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2pm with Father Joseph Dougherty, pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Austin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gram Patty’s Purse Foundation, c/o Abundant Blessings, 9 N. Main Street, Coudersport, PA 16915.
Patty’s family has entrusted her care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
