Patricia A. Giebel “loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister”

ROULETTE, Pa.---Patricia A. “Pat” Giebel, 63, a longtime resident of Roulette, passed away with her loving family by her side on Saturday, December 18, 2021, in UPMC Cole, Coudersport, after a battle with COVID-19.
Born on Tuesday, December 31, 1957 in Frankfurt, NY, she was a daughter of Costanzio and Dorothea Gulick Nicastro. On April 24, 1977, on Long Island, she married Robert F. “Bob” Giebel, Sr., who survives.
Pat was a graduate of Patchoque-Medford High School in Medford, N.Y. Pat started her postal career on Long Island, transferring to the Coudersport Post Office in 1985, retiring in 2008 after 23 years of service with the postal system. After retiring from the Postal Service, Pat went on to write and publish several spiritual and healing books, as well as helping many people through her gift as a spiritual medium.
Pat was a member of St. Eulalia Catholic Church in Coudersport. She enjoyed fishing and writing. Her greatest love was her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband; a son, Robert F. Jr. (Jessica) Giebel of Coudersport; a daughter, Tara L. (Nathan) DeBockler of Port Allegany; six grandchildren, Ethan DeBockler, Isaiah DeBockler, Hunter Giebel, Madyson Giebel, Audrina DeBockler, and Sawyer Giebel; two brothers, David Nicastro, and Steven (Bill) Nicastro; a sister, Kathy Nicastro; an aunt, Marilyn Veit, whom she considered a second mom; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Tina Daughenbaugh.
In addition to her parents, Pat was predeceased by a grandson, Bryce DeBockler; and a sister, Nancy Rohrbacker.
There will be no public visitation. A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on a date and place to be announced in the future.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Pat’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or to Teacher’s Pet Rescue, 19 Blackberry Lane, Coudersport, PA 16915.
Pat’s family has entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
