Penny L. Bollhorst “beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt”
COUDERSPORT, Pa.---Penny L. Bollhorst, 81, a longtime resident of Coudersport, passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, in UPMC Cole, Cole Place, Coudersport, after a short illness.
Born on Sunday, April 21, 1940, in Port Allegany, she was a daughter of Edgar D. and Betty Patricia French Brewer. On July 11, 1959, in St. Eulalia Catholic Church in Coudersport, she married William C. “Bill” Bollhorst, who survives.
Penny was a graduate of Coudersport High School. She was a loving homemaker, caring for her family was her greatest love.
Penny was a member of St. Eulalia Catholic Church. She was a faithful customer of the former Jim and Hilda’s Restaurant in Coudersport and was an avid QVC shopper.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are two sons Daniel W. Bollhorst and James B. (Lori) Bollhorst, both of Coudersport; a daughter, Tamara L. (John) Setzer of Coudersport; five grandchildren, Cortney N. (Justin) Gentzyel, Zachary D. (Ashley) Cowburn, Koriann J. (Tom Kisiel) Bollhorst, Patrick D. Bollhorst, and Brittany M. Bollhorst; six great-grandchildren, Makenzie Gentzyel, Mauly Gentzyel, Addyson Gentzyel, Zygmund Kisiel, Braelynn Cowburn, and Brendan Cowburn; a sister, Roxanna L. Dwyer of Coudersport; and two nieces, Jalyn Tezik and Amy Kelly.
In addition to her parents, Penny was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Andrew J. Dwyer.
Family and friends may call from 7pm to 9pm on Friday at the gathering space of St. Eulalia Catholic Church in Coudersport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, September 25, 2021, in St. Eulalia Catholic Church, Coudersport, with the Rev. James Campbell, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Eulalia Catholic Cemetery, Coudersport.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Eulalia Catholic Church, 6 Maple Street, Coudersport, PA 16915 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Penny’s family has entrusted her care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
