Roger B. Harmon “beloved husband, father, and Papa”

CERES, N.Y.---Roger B. Harmon, 78, a lifelong pillar in the community of Ceres, passed away with his loving family by his side on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
Born on Thursday, August 19, 1943, in Shinglehouse, Pa., he was a son of Leon C. and Gladys A. DeGolia Harmon. On June 25, 1998 in Portville, he married Linda S. Devore Wiltberger, who survives.
Roger was a graduate of Bolivar High School. He was employed by the former McGraw Edison in Olean. He was also a maintenance man at the former Castle Restaurant in Allegany and at numerous area businesses. He, along with his wife, owned and operated Dave’s Diner in Ceres. He also processed deer for over 22 years.
He was an avid hunter. He enjoyed riding 4 wheelers, tinkering, and repairing just about everything.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Corinna (John) Carrasquillo of Douglassville, Pa.; two stepsons, Steven Mowrer of Portville and Thomas Mowrer of Orrville, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Tina Loucks of Bolivar; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson to be born in the near future; and a niece.
In addition to his parents, Roger was predeceased by a brother, Gordon Harmon; and a sister Nancilea Hensley.
Family and friends may call from 10am to 11am on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Faith Bible Church in Little Genesee, where a memorial service will follow at 11am with Pastor Ben Ramirez, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Ceres, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Bible Church, 8137 SR 417, Little Genesee, NY 14754.
Roger entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, Pa.
