Roger E. Lent âlongtime dairy farmerâ
COUDERSPORT, PA---Roger E. Lent, 56, of Coudersport, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014 in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, after a short illness.
Born August 22, 1957 in Coudersport, he was a son of Frank and Betty Tucker Lent. On June 30, 1984 in Coudersport, he married Rhoda Knowlton, who survives.
He was a graduate of Coudersport Area High School, Class of 1976. Roger was raised on the family dairy farm. He and his wife moved to Quakertown in the Fall of 1984. Roger was employed by the Pillsbury Company in East Greenville for 10 years. They returned to Coudersport in 1994 where he was employed at Sealâs Lumber. Since 1998 Roger owned and operated the family dairy farm which was named a Dairy of Distinction.
He was a member of the Potter County Snowmobile Club, a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, and a member of the National and Pennsylvania Holstein Association. Roger enjoyed snowmobiling, NASCAR, and hunting.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Raymond Lent of Norristown and Ross Lent of Coudersport; a brother, David (Cathy) Lent of Coudersport; a sister, Patti (Ron) Schoonover of Emmaus; and several nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call on Saturday, May 24, 2014 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Coudersport Alliance Church, Alliance Avenue, Coudersport where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Sam M. Crossley, officiating.
