Rose M. Copp                        â€œBeloved mother and grandmother”

ULYSSES, PA----Rose M. Copp, 70, of Ulysses, PA, passed away with her loving family by her side on Saturday, March 1, 2014 in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, after a long illness.
     Born November 23, 1943 in Westfield, she was a daughter of Clair David and Anna H. Hryczyk Brown.  On July 25, 1964 in Ulysses, she married Ronald L. Copp, who died on December 17, 2008.
     Rose was a graduate of Northern Potter High School, Class of 1962.  She was employed by the former Galeton Production Company in Galeton for many years and later worked for the Forestry Department at Ole Bull State Park in Kettle Creek.  For many years she was the caretaker of Camp Wonderland Hide A Way in Ulysses and at the same time was employed at the Deer Park in Ulysses.
     Rose enjoyed any and every outdoor activity.  She enjoyed going to the casino.  Her greatest love was spending time with family.  
     Surviving are six children, Debra L. (Paul) Williams and Darlene J. (Thomas) Presha, both of Sarasota, Florida, Collene M. (Tim) Flory of Ulysses, Malinda K. (Ernest) Caldwell and Dennis W. (Donna) Copp, both of Coudersport, and Kris D. (Julie) Copp of Genesee; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary J. (Robert) Gardner of Howard, NY and Kathy E. (Clare) Carson of Pine City, NY; a brother, Charles E. (Linda) Brown of Germania; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was predeceased by a sister, Patricia A. Lampman.
      At Rose’s request, there will be no public visitation.  A private memorial service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, PA with the Rev. Hank St. Amour, pastor of the Hebron Union Church, officiating.
