Rose Marie Sereno âbeloved motherâ
CONEVILLE, PA---Rose Marie âRosieâ Sereno, 83, of Coneville, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015, in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, after a long illness.
Born on July 11, 1932, in Coudersport, she was a daughter of John and Marie Redner Taylor. On October 12, 1956, in Coudersport, she married Robert J. Sereno, who passed away on January 12, 2003.
Rosie was a graduate of Shinglehouse High School, class of 1949. She was employed by Potter County Human Services, where she lovingly prepared the meals that went out to the Senior Centers in Potter County. Additionally she also catered many special events.
Mrs. Sereno was a member of Hebron Union Church, where she served as youth director, Boyâs and Girlâs Fellowship leader, and was adult director of fellowship events. Her greatest love was her Lord and her family.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Anne (John) Parker of Coneville and Cathy Dee (David) Furman of North Bingham, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rosie was predeceased by two brothers, Leonard Taylor and James Taylor.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Hebron Union Church, Route 44, Coudersport, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Hank St. Amour, pastor, and the Rev. Howard R. Burnham, pastor emeritus, officiating. Burial will be in Rathbone Cemetery, Coneville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hebron Union Church or the Hebron Center Christian School, 1149 SR 44 North, Coudersport, PA 16915.
