FAYETTEVILLE, NC---Rosemarie I. âRosiâ Dingman, 75, of Fayetteville, formerly of Shinglehouse, PA, passed away under the care of United Hospice with her loving family by her side on Thursday, May 8, 2014 in Woodlands Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Fayetteville, after a lengthy illness.
Rosi was born September 9, 1938 in Berlin, Germany. In 1958 in Berlin, she married Almon H. Dingman who passed away in September of 1971.
Rosi was a graduate of high school in Berlin and also earned her G.E.D. while living in Fayetteville.
She was a loving homemaker and a wonderful cook. She was a member of the German Club in Fayetteville. Her greatest love was her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her loving companion of 16 years, Roger A. Wilson of Fayetteville; four children, Henry J. Dingman of Raleigh, NC, Patrick A. (Adela) Dingman of Harveysburg, Ohio, Mary Lou Dingman of Raleigh, NC, and Jason M. Dingman of Winston Salem NC; two grandchildren, Jessica L. Dingman and Justin M. (Ashley) Dingman; and three great-grandchildren. She stayed in close contact with many Berlin friends and family, including a sister, Marianne; and a nephew, Mario and his
In addition to her parents and husband, Rosi was predeceased by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, PA where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 with the Rev. Russell J. Horning, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Shinglehouse, officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery, Hebron, PA.
