Roxana L. âRoxyâ Setzer âbeloved wife, mother and grandmotherâ
AUSTIN---Roxana L. âRoxyâ Setzer, 60, a lifelong resident of Austin, passed away unexpectedly with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.
Born on August 16, 1955 in Port Allegany, she was a daughter of Kenneth E. Rees. On May 16, 1981, in the Austin United Methodist Church, she married Terry W. Setzer, who survives.
Roxy was a graduate of Austin High School. She was employed as a para-educator for the IU9, working in Austin.
She was a member of the Austin United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking for âeveryoneâ, traveling, reading, crocheting, Facebook, and visiting with her friends and neighbors. Roxyâs greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving besides her husband are seven daughters, Angela C. (Dennis) Buck of Austin, Toni L. (Jason) Fourness of Coudersport, Michele M. (Joseph) Glover of Austin, Billy Sue (Richard) Glover of Austin, Samantha J. (Bucky) Blaniar of Austin, Misty D. Setzer of Emporium, and Jami L. (Steve) Bonawitz of Port Allegany; 27 grandchildren: Erica Simms, Chelsea Plant, Logan Plant, Racheal Glover, Mercedes Shupe, Hannah Glover, Rebecca Plant, Delaney Plant, Marissa Simms, Brian Shupe, AJ Simms, Cerissa Glover, Brayden Setzer, Parker Glover, Joseph E. Glover, Jr., Jackson Glover, Kaden Blaniar. Mitchell Blaniar, Riley Putt, Raelle Putt, Anthony Putt, Kira Bonawitz, Kaelyn Bonawitz, Luke Hulick, Wynter Hulick, Vance Hulick and Hunter Bundy; many nieces and nephews; and two aunts, Susan M. Cooney of Austin and Joan Plotts of St. Marys.
In addition to her father, Roxy was predeceased by two sons, Brian A. Plant and Nathan S. Setzer; and two brothers, Scott Rees and Bill Rees.
Family and friends are invited to Roxyâs memorial visitation at the Austin United Methodist Church from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at which time a memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. The Rev. Donald Caskey and the Rev. Warren Cederholm, who are Roxyâs family members, will officiate. Burial will be in Reesville Cemetery, Austin.

Roxyâs family has entrusted her care to the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
