Sarah L. Fiske
LITTLE GENESEE, NY---Sarah L. Fiske, 57, of Little Genesee, passed away with her loving family by her side, on Wednesday July 19, 2023, in the Olean General Hospital, Olean, after a short illness.
Born on Monday, January 31, 1966 in Olean, she was a daughter of Charles and Catherine Swartz Skinner. On February 3, 1984 in Little Genesee, she married Stephen W. Fiske.
Sarah attended high school in Portville where she met the love of her life, Steve, AKA Sexy. She along with her husband owned and operated multiple salvage yards.
She was a member of the former Lighthouse Free Methodist Church in Prentisvale, PA. Sarah was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and partner in the family businesses.
She was survived by her husband; two sons, Robert L. (Amber) Fiske of Bradford and Gerald I. Fiske II; five grandchildren, Gerald, Brandon, Sheldon, Vincent, and Zavier; two brothers, Charlie Skinner of Smethport and Carl Skinner of Port Allegany; a lifelong friend, Eddy Graham of Port Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.
Sarah was predeceased by her parents; a son, Stephen W. Fiske, Jr.; a brother, Frank Skinner; and a sister, Debbie Skinner.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at 12 noon on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Ceres United Methodist Church, Ceres, with Tim Taylor, pastor of Crosstown Alliance Church, Shinglehouse, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Ceres, PA.
Sarah’s son has entrusted Celebration of Life arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
