Scott B. “Scotty” Schultz     â€œbeloved husband, father and son”

SHINGLEHOUSE, PA---Scott B. “Scotty” Schultz, 54, of Shinglehouse, formerly of Eldred, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 in Select Specialty Hospital, Erie, PA, after a long illness.
     Born February 18, 1959 in Erie, PA, he was a son of James and Audrey Easton Schultz.  On September 25, 1999 in Shinglehouse, he married Pamela J. Schultz, who survives.
     Scotty attended school in Eldred and Shinglehouse and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy.  Before ill health, he worked for the former Payne Tire Company in Olean, NY.  
     An avid Harley-Davidson rider, Scotty belonged to the Wanderers Motorcycle Club in Bradford and for several years he was the Shinglehouse Biker Santa distributing toys to area children.  He was a member of the Shinglehouse American Legion Post 530.  He enjoyed fishing.  He loved his three dogs.  His greatest love was his family and many friends.
     Surviving besides his wife, are his parents of Shinglehouse; his children, Ryan (Lisa) Schultz of Rixford, Patrick (Jess) Schultz of Appleton, NY, Melissa (Mike) Payne of Coudersport, Corey Schultz of Shinglehouse, Kimberly (Pete) Miles of Ridgway, Patricia (Ryan) Long of Shinglehouse, Steven (Miranda) Lananger of Cyclone, and Stephany (Jimmy) Reedy of Pittsburgh; Dana Lafferty, whom he considered a son; fourteen grandchildren; three half brothers, Jimmie, Herm, and Jeff; and many nieces and nephews.
     Scotty was predeceased by a sister, Yavonne; and a half sister, Melodie.
   Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Scotty’s life starting at 12 noon on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at his home, 42 Scott Hollow Road, Shinglehouse.  The Rev. Roy Elliott, pastor of the House of Prayer Fellowship Church, will officiate at 1 p.m. followed by the Potter County Honor Guard who will accord military honors.
     The celebration will continue after the service and throughout the day.
