Todd A. Button “beloved husband, father, and son”
ELDRED, Pa.---Todd A. Button, 39, of Eldred, passed away with his loving wife by his side on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at UPMC Hamot, Erie, after a battle with COVID-19.
Born on Wednesday, September 1, 1982 in Bradford, he was the only child of Paul E. and Cheryl L. Moore Button. On September 27, 2014 in Bradford, he married the former Cassie A. Benson, who survives.
Todd was a 2001 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School and attended Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport for heavy equipment operation. For the last 10 years, Todd was employed as a CDL driver for Myers Trucking Inc. in Lantz Corners. He loved his job and was very proud of his work.
Todd was a life member of the Otto Township Fire Department, joining the department at the age of 14. He also volunteered his time at area fire departments even though he was not a member. He volunteered at local dirt tracks as a flagger and fireman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his wife. His greatest love was his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife; his parents of Rixford; his daughter, Lilly A. Button at home; his son, Korry A. Button at home; his father-in-law, Mark A. Benson of Coudersport; his mother-in-law, Karen L. Haldaman of Eldred; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Todd was predeceased by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Todd’s life from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Otto Township Fire Department, 118 Sweitzer Drive, Duke Center. The Rev. Rick Price, pastor of Church of Christ of Bradford, will officiate.
Members of the Otto Township Fire Department will honor Todd with a call to quarters service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Otto Township Fire Department, 118 Sweitzer Drive, Duke Center, PA 16729.
Todd’s family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
