Wendy S. Hann “beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister”
COUDERSPORT, Pa.---Wendy S. Hann, 64, a longtime resident of Coudersport, formerly of Shinglehouse, passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after a short illness.
Born on March 17, 1954 in Olean, N.Y., she was a daughter of Harold D. and Patricia A. Terrette Danforth. On September 29, 1990 in Coudersport, she married Timothy J. Hann, who survives.
Wendy was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse. She held many jobs throughout her life, but most especially cherished her work with Dickinson Mental Health in Coudersport where she was able to contribute to the care of many needy individuals whom she loved dearly.
As a child, Wendy attended the Shinglehouse United Methodist Church. She loved to play Bingo and crochet for her grandchildren. Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving besides her husband are her mother of Shinglehouse; two daughters, Michelle L. (Pete) Black of Coudersport and Amanda L. (Craig) Kandare of Watertown, N.Y.; two sons, Christopher M. “Cub” (Jessica) Taylor of Shinglehouse and Christopher J. (Jessica) Hann of Troy; twelve grandchildren, Brailee D. (Zakk) Linden, Brody M. Taylor, Shaelyn E. Black, Ryelle C. Black, Trinity F. Lundy, Emily A. Taylor, Braylon J. Kandare, Eric D. Behnke, Bowen C. Taylor, Tucker N. Taylor, Arya A. Taylor, and Hudson M. Kandare; a great-grandson, Knox Lee Linden; five siblings, Robert (Pat) Danforth of O’Fallon, Illinois, Bruce (Kay) Danforth of Shinglehouse, Harold “Butch” Danforth of Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, Deanna (Don) Peters of Knapp Creek, N.Y., and Shari (Dana) Hemphill of Coudersport; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wendy was predeceased by her father.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8 pm on Sunday at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, where funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, November 12, 2018, with the Rev. Preston L. Hutchins, Jr., pastor of the Shinglehouse United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Randall W. Headley of Port Allegany, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.

Wendy’s family has entrusted her care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
