COUDERSPORT, Pa.---William “Bill” Hunter passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, with his loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer (glioblastoma).

     Bill was born in 1951 in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Jennifer Marie HunterRichards and William F. Hunter.

     He left the city life in 1975, relocating to the clean air and picturesque country views of Potter County, Pa. Bill was an Owner and Real Estate Agent/Broker with Trails End Realty for 35 years before retiring in 2021. He took great pride in introducing new families to the Potter County way of life. He was previously the owner of Hunter’s Arco in Coudersport and was also employed by Pure Carbon.

     Bill was a wise, hard-working, family man who loved the outdoors: hunting, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and kayaking. He was a collector of antiques and rusty gold.

     The Number One person in his life was his loving and beautiful wife of 20 years, Kelly Hunter. Along with their beloved dog, Val, they made the most of their time together every day. His greatest joys were his children and grandchildren.

     Left to cherish his memory in addition to his wife are daughters Victoria (Jay) Zimmerman; Rebecca (Jamie Colburn) Hunter; step-daughterNicole (Matt) Hafer; step-son Derrick Gleason; grandchildren: Drew Zimmerman, Ryan Zimmerman, Eleanor Bennett, Tristan Hafer, Cameron Hafer and Haydan Hafer; brothers: Ronald (Kay) Richards, Lance Hunter; best friend and cousin Bruce Fife; mother in-law Romayne Myers and several nieces, nephews, cousins and brother and sister in-laws.

     He was predeceased by his parents, sister Rowene Wilson, nephew Andrew Wilson, and father in-law Norman “Bud” Myers.

     Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life officiated by Pastor Kevin Cornish, which will be held at the Coudersport Golf Club on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 2:00 P.M.

     Bill’s family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
